Brief Update From the Sierras

June 16, 2016

From the Owens Valley lookout (elev. 10,387 feet) at PCT Mile 734 I'm able to get some cell reception for the first time since my last post. Currently I'm deep in the South Sierra wilderness approaching Mt. Whitney (elev. 14,505 feet).

I'll lose cell reception from here and hope to pick it up again in a couple days on top of Mt. Whitney.

Five more days back here until I can reconnect with civilization. All is well. I will recap my 7 days in the Sierra wilderness with a single post when I reach civilization, hopefully the city of Independence or Bishop on the 21st.
