The Motivational Blog

What do you want to do?

Through my conversations with people from all walks of life I have come to realize most people cannot answer this question.

If they can, in most cases they are describing an evolution of circumstance rather than an exercise of free will.

Why is knowing what you want to do important?

As the Mahatma Gandhi quote asserts, I believe happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.

Happiness is not possible if actions contradict thoughts.

While most people will state they are happy when asked, I do not believe them because I do not believe they are doing what they want to do.

This blog is my effort to erode the barriers people build to insulate themselves from the reality that they are not doing what they want to do.  Through a variety of articles and video posts I will challenge my peers to be honest with themselves about their actions and help people come to their own conclusions about what they want to do.

A common response I get, “What if I don’t know what I want to do?”

Don’t worry. You do. I believe we all do, but often some genuinely challenging feedback from an outside force is what it takes to realize that. This blog is that outside force.

What I am posting here is what I already discuss with strangers in my day to day life. I am confident the overwhelmingly positive reactions of strangers to this message will carry over to an online presence.

There has never been an easier time in human history to pursue your happiness.
